Homework Schedule
*This is what the normal homework schedule will look like. There may be some weeks where it changes slightly due to shorter school weeks, special projects, holidays, early dismissals, Unit tests, etc. If there are any changes to the homework schedule, you will see those marked on the newsletter sent home every Friday.
Monday Homework: Read our weekly story from Treasures Reading Series. Be sure that your child knows the meaning of each of the vocabulary words; they will be on the weekly test. Fill out the reading homework page using complete sentences and correct spelling. Remember that this homework is a free test question on Friday's test. Study the Daily Edit sentences and practice writing them at home. Study your spelling words.
Tuesday Homework: Math homework worksheet. Review spelling words, vocabulary words, and Reading story.
Wednesday Homework: Creative writing homework page. Make sure your child uses a dictionary to look up any words that might have been spelled incorrectly.
Thursday Homework: Daily Edit homework page. Re-read our weekly story from Treasures Reading Series. Review Spelling and Vocabulary words. Tests are tomorrow! STUDY STUDY STUDY!
Friday Homework: ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND! Please don't forget to bring back your behavior report signed by a parent.
***A SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT HOMEWORK GRADES***
Your child will be given 10 points if an assignment is turned in on time, 5 points if it is late, and 0 points if it is not completed at all. This is a very important part of your child's grade. Please make sure your child is practicing and completing homework every night.
