The students are showing an array of 3 x 3 = 9. We listened to Elivis sing "You Ain't Nothing But a Houndog" and changed the last part to "you can quit your cryin' 'cause 3 x 3 is 9." An array is a visual representation of a multiplication fact. We used 9 slices of banana atop peanut butter bread to show our array with one of Elvis' favorite dishes! It was pretty tasty, too! |
