After we cleaned the pumpkin on Friday afternoon, I baked it at home on the weekend. That orange stuff in the bowl is the cooked pumpkin! The kids measured it and mashed it up. They also cracked and "whisked" the eggs. Everything was mixed together, 4 spices were added (cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger), and then it was cooked. Fruit was cut in Mrs. Thies' room and fruit salad was created. In Mrs. Brubeck's room, onions, celery and bread had to be cut for the stuffing. The critical ingredient, fresh sage, was added, and the aroma was delectable! Thanks for sending in all the ingredients for a wonderful feast! |
